Baguette Bag, a Fern with Gold Thread

This piece provided an opportunity to explore a solar printing technique applied to damp fabric, in which sunlight plays a key role in creating the pattern. This experiment left room for the unexpected, bringing forth new hues and opening up a world beyond the blue tones I usually work with. The bag’s shape was born from a simple, joyful desire: to pick up your baguette in style, then hang it neatly on a hook right in the heart of the kitchen.
