Featured in the exhibition *Écrire la lumière en bleu*, the title of this painting, *Oolong and Prussian Blue*, evokes a sensory experience in a space where time seems to stand still, in the heart of a garden from which a teahouse can be glimpsed.
One can almost imagine the warm cup of oolong in one’s hands, the steam rising, that flavor—sometimes mineral, slightly woody, or floral—and the nuances that emerge as the tea steeps.
Prussian blue, on the other hand, seems to freeze this moment in time. It is a deep, cool, almost silent blue. While oolong is something you savor over time, Prussian blue is something you contemplate in space.
