The plane tree is a tree steeped in ancient history. In ancient traditions, it was associated with protection, peace, and renewal. Its large, widely spread, palmate leaves evoke welcoming hands that offer gentle, generous shade.
Its bark, which renews itself with the changing seasons, gives it the remarkable ability to bear the marks of time while regenerating itself. It is a tree that seems to bring together several dimensions of time: the youthfulness of its branches, the maturity of its trunk, and the memory of the years inscribed in its bark.
This symbolism, in turn, invites us to look at our surroundings in a new light: what nourishes us, what deserves to be preserved, and what can make way for renewal. The plane tree thus becomes a beautiful evocation of rootedness, transformation, and gratitude.
