Inspired by the famous *The Great Wave off Kanagawa*, this design reverses the movement of the original work.
Where Hokusai’s wave rises with force, the counter-wave evokes those moments when, after weathering the intensity of certain events, we find new momentum, a point of anchor. The movement hasn’t disappeared—it has simply changed its rhythm.

This floor cushion made of natural linen reinforced with woven fabric is a one-of-a-kind piece, handcrafted using the cyanotype technique—a process that harnesses sunlight to reveal a deep Prussian blue.
Light, fabric, and the artisan’s touch combine to create nuances and variations that make each piece unique.

The filling, made of organic spelt—breathable and comfortable—naturally conforms to the body’s shape and provides a soft, pleasant seat. On the floor, around a coffee table, in a reading nook, or to accommodate several people when the living room fills up, this cushion is perfect for both moments of rest and times of togetherness.

– Color: deep Prussian blue with natural linen-colored accents
– Care: removable cover with zipper
– One-of-a-kind piece: handcrafted in the workshop

Production time:

Several hours of handcrafted work, divided among textile printing, rinsing and drying, and then assembly.

Ingredients:

– Heavyweight natural linen, ± 240 g/m², reinforced with a nonwoven fabric
– Hand-dyed using the cyanotype process
– Filled with organic spelt

Is this cushion designed to provide good seating comfort, even for people who aren't very flexible?

Yes. The height of this cushion raises the pelvis, which promotes natural spinal alignment and reduces strain on the hips and knees. This helps ensure a comfortable seating experience, even for people who are not used to sitting on the floor.
