Cast-iron teapot cozy — Cyanotype on linen *My Path, My Journey*

My Path, My Journey

A cozy tea nook—like a gentle invitation to move at your own pace.

This design bears the imprint of a multitude of small, rounded leaves, delicately arranged like so many tiny steps along a path. Each piece is unique and leaves room for the unexpected—the interplay between material, light, and the artist’s touch.

Place this on your teapot to keep your tea warm, but also as a subtle reminder at the heart of your ritual: My path doesn’t have to be the same as everyone else’s.

“My Path, My Way” evokes the freedom to choose one’s own direction and move forward at one’s own pace. There is no single way to succeed in life, nor is there a predetermined path we must follow. Sometimes, our path simply takes shape, one small step at a time, as we follow what feels true to who we are.

This collection was born out of personal reflection inspired by reading “The Courage to Be Disliked” by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga. This book, a true phenomenon in Asia, invited me to question how others see us, the search for approval, and the freedom to forge our own path.
I wanted to translate these reflections into simple, everyday objects, where plants become a metaphor for our own way of being in the world.

PLANTS, THE SUN, AND CYANOTYPE.

Each piece begins with the selection of a plant. For this design, a multitude of small, rounded leaves was chosen to create a delicate composition, almost like a constellation of tiny footsteps.
Thanks to the cyanotype technique, their imprint appears in various shades of blue, creating an image that is at once delicate, organic, and unpredictable.
Gesture, light, and material all come together in the creative process. Variations in placement, light intensity, and texture make each print a unique piece.

The cozy is crafted from natural linen, chosen for its lively texture and authentic character. Its irregularities and soft feel lend the piece a natural and warm sensation.

More than just an accessory, this cozy accompanies a moment of tranquility over tea: an invitation to slow down, take your time moving forward, and remember that every path can be forged at your own pace.

A handcrafted piece designed to be both practical and poetic, imbued with meaning.
